Speechcraft is a proven outreach and membership-building program that allows Toastmasters clubs to introduce non-members to Toastmasters while showcasing member skills and leadership.

Hosting a Speechcraft program benefits both the club and the coordinator.


Why Host Speechcraft?

Speechcraft helps clubs:

  • Attract prospective members in a structured way
  • Demonstrate the Toastmasters education program
  • Build leadership experience for members
  • Create a natural pathway into club membership

It can also be used as a fundraiser or part of a larger club growth strategy.


Program Structure

  • Hosted by a Toastmasters club
  • Delivered over 4, 6, or 8 weeks
  • Led by an experienced Toastmasters member
  • Supported by Toastmasters online learning materials

Participants receive guided instruction and structured practice throughout the program.


Speechcraft Content Overview

Speechcraft projects focus on:

  • Topic selection and speech preparation
  • Speech delivery and presentation skills
  • Feedback and evaluation
  • Body language and vocal variety
  • Purpose-driven speaking and word choice

These projects mirror key elements of the Toastmasters education program.


Pathways & Leadership Credit

  • Participants may earn credit toward Pathways after joining Toastmasters
  • The Speechcraft Coordinator is eligible for credit toward the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award

Speechcraft Kits & Cost

Each Speechcraft Digital Kit includes:

  • Coordinator access
  • Online materials for five (5) participants

Cost: $50 per kit
Clubs may charge a participation fee to cover costs or use Speechcraft as a fundraising opportunity.
