Richard Porter, DTM, has been a member of Toastmasters since 2009 and earned the prestigious Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation in 2017. Throughout his Toastmasters journey, he has served in numerous leadership roles at the club and district levels, including Club President, Vice President Education, Vice President Membership, Area Governor, Division Governor, District Finance Manager, and District Audit Chair.
Professionally, Richard is a retired technology leader who served as an Applications Manager for Merck and a DevOps Supervisor for Sigma-Aldrich. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering, as well as a master’s degree in Computer Resources and Information Systems.
Richard currently serves as President of Webster Groves Toastmasters, Vice President Membership of SpeakUP! Toastmasters. He is passionate about leadership development, mentoring, club growth, and helping members achieve their communication and leadership goals.
