Matt Long has been a dedicated member of Toastmasters since 2021 and is passionate about developing leadership and communication skills. He is committed to creating a supportive environment where members can grow and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Matt credits his growth to serving on multiple club executive committees and learning collaboratively from experienced Toastmasters. He is eager to support clubs in Area 9 as they work toward achieving their educational goals. A strong believer in continuous learning and constructive feedback, Matt strives to make a positive and lasting impact on every club he serves.
Professionally, Matt is a salesman with a career focused on selling commercial trucks and heavy-duty construction equipment. He jokes that the only vehicle he isn’t licensed to operate is an airplane—though he hopes to change that one day. Matt credits Toastmasters with elevating his communication skills and helping him become a more confident and effective communicator.
In his free time, Matt enjoys attending live music events and estimates that he has seen more than 75 shows over the past five years, traveling to Texas, Ohio, Florida, California, and Wyoming to see his favorite artists perform. When he’s not at a concert, Matt enjoys traveling with his wife and exploring new places.
