Jim became a member of both the South County and Tarsus Toastmasters clubs in
1993 and has stayed active in South County ever since. In 1995 he began leading the
Youth Leadership program at the former Library Limited Bookstore in Clayton. Since
then, he’s run more than 25 of these programs and continues to this day.
What keeps him coming back is the transformation he sees. By the fifth or sixth week,
students start to carry themselves differently. Their voices get stronger and their
confidence increases. They enjoy speaking. It’s a change you can count on, like
clockwork.
