Dr. Shantay Wakefield Tigner joined Toastmasters in 2018 and is passionate about developing leaders, fostering meaningful connections, and empowering others to communicate with confidence and purpose. She currently serves as Club President of the St. Clair 496 Toastmasters Club and Area Director for Area 36, creating engaging, supportive environments where members can grow as communicators and leaders.
An accomplished educational leader, consultant, mediator, and speaker, Dr. Wakefield Tigner brings more than 20 years of K–12 education experience and over a decade in executive leadership. As Founder and CEO of Shaefield Speaks, LLC, she partners with school districts and organizations to strengthen leadership, improve special education systems, facilitate conflict resolution, and deliver impactful professional learning.
Dr. Wakefield Tigner earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University and is a certified mediator in Illinois and Missouri. Whether leading organizational change, facilitating difficult conversations, or speaking from the stage, her work is guided by the belief that leadership is about serving others, building relationships, and creating opportunities for every individual to succeed.
