Dawnella is driven, passionate, curious, and deeply committed to service and lifelong learning. She served 24 years in the U.S. Air Force as a logistician, where she was responsible for ensuring aircraft had the necessary parts to remain mission-ready. Her military service provided opportunities to travel internationally to England, Korea, and Japan, as well as live in various locations across the United States—one of which introduced her to Toastmasters while stationed in North Carolina.
Dawnella’s Toastmasters journey began in 2014 when her supervisor invited her to attend a club meeting. She quickly discovered a love for impromptu speaking and has since served in nearly every club leadership role, with Vice President of Public Relations being the only exception. Through Toastmasters, Dawnella has experienced firsthand the power of effective communication—not only in how it impacts listeners, but in how it transforms the speaker through preparation, clarity, and confidence.
Beyond club leadership, Dawnella has served as both an Area Director and Division Director, bringing her strong service mindset and dedication to every role. She remains committed to supporting members and plans to continue her Toastmasters journey for many years to come.
In her free time, Dawnella enjoys traveling, crafting, spending time with friends, attending concerts and plays, going to the movies, learning new things, and simply enjoying life.
