Raymond “RJ” Stratton is a retired, highly decorated U.S. Navy Chief who proudly served 23 years (1976–2000). Following his military career, RJ transitioned into civilian life as a successful business owner, accredited investor, professional speaker, author, communications expert, mentor, and coach. He is married and the proud father of two daughters and grandfather of three.
RJ joined Toastmasters International in 2013 within District 8 and earned the prestigious Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation in 2017. He has served in multiple district leadership roles, including Public Relations Manager (2018–2019), and was recognized as Division C Director of the Year for his impactful leadership and service.
A strong advocate for innovation and education, RJ played an instrumental role in District 8’s transition from the Traditional education program to the Pathways learning experience. He has completed Level 4 of the Visionary Communication Path and has generously served as a Club Mentor and Club Coach, supporting numerous members and clubs across the district.
Known as a highly sought-after leader, speaker, and trainer, RJ continues to inspire others through mentorship and communication excellence. He is currently expanding his reach by launching his own podcast, further sharing insights on leadership, communication, and personal growth.
